A cultivar of the American arborvitae, the Nigra American arborvitae is a narrow, pyramidal evergreen that provides plenty of landscaping versatility. It is a natural choice for windbreaks and privacy screens, requires almost no care when used as a hedge or screen, stands out as an excellent accent, and adapts well to pruning. The most notable difference this arborvitae brings to the yard is dark green foliage that persists throughout the winter months.
