A slow growing, upright, small tree form of Korean fir. Superficially, it resembles Abies koreana ‘Horstmann’s Silberlocke,’ but somewhat slower growing and more tightly curled needles, making the tree more of a standout in the landscape. After 10 years of growth, a mature specimen will measure 4.5 feet (1.5 m) tall and 3 feet (90 cm) wide, an annual growth rate of 4 to 6 inches (10 – 15 cm). This cultivar originated as a “Silberlocke seedling” selected in 1969 by Kurt Wittbold-Müller nursery, Verden, Germany.
