A deservedly popular dwarf selection of Norway spruce that is quite dense and globose when young, later becoming slightly pyramidal with age. Branching is close and uniform and the needles are brilliantly silver-blue in color. ‘Suncrest’ is one of the bluest-known dwarf Norway spruce This cultivar originated as a witch’s broom found on a typical green Norway spruce by Gregg Gulden at Suncrest Gardens, Mt. Holly, Pennsylvania, USA and introduced to the nursery trade in the late 1990s
