Artist at heart and jack-of-all-trades — from airplane pilot to president of Alma’s horticultural society, Brian has done it all. The son of a family of eight children, he showed his entrepreneurial spirit early on by building a 12-story “hospital for hamsters” in the bedroom he shared with his siblings.

Today, as the hands-on man and heart of the garden, Brian brings every idea to life. No matter the challenge, once a seed is planted in his mind, nothing can stop him — whether it’s planting, landscaping, or building a 520-ton bridge. His charm and generosity have brought together a loyal team, inspired by his energy and vision.

Brian is the dreamer who builds, the leader who inspires, a big-hearted man who turned a piece of land into one of the most beautiful gardens in the country.

Josée has been growing the garden — and keeping Brian and Daniel in line — since the very beginning. She’s the kind of person who can arrange a set of flower pots, plan a wedding, and resolve an international crisis before breakfast. Involved in every decision, she is the gentle force behind the beauty, the logistics, and the soul of Jardin Scullion. From planting to planning, including (kindly or not) putting the boys back in their place, she is the heart, the backbone, and — let’s be honest — the boss of the garden.

Tree Whisperer, Do-it-All & Next Boss in Line

Started giving guided tours of the garden at 13 — a real-life Tarzan, barefoot with a bird on his shoulder (no joke). Grew up among the conifers and never really left. These days, he juggles plant whispering, landscaping, operations, and the occasional existential nursery consultation. Loves a good wheelbarrow workout and can sell you a spruce faster than you can say “photosynthesis.” Future boss energy? Confirmed.

The Numbers Magician & Keeper of the Vault

Marielle is our financial mastermind. After a brilliant career in a prestigious role, she retired… until Brian brought her back on board. Four years later, instead of sipping cocktails in Cuba, she’s still here — solid as a rock.

She runs payroll, budgets, and reports like a pro. Without her, there’d be no season, no nursery, no garden — she’s the one keeping the whole machine running. And with her big heart, she’s truly part of the family.

Front Desk Manager and Greenhouse Boss

Nancy is often the first person you’ll meet when you arrive at the Jardin Scullion. With her kind welcome and gentle manner, she embodies the spirit of the place from the very first moment.

But don’t be fooled by her calm presence — behind the counter, she’s the one quietly keeping the greenhouse running smoothly. She’s also the watering-can queen: every plant seems to recognise her voice, her steps, her attentive hands. Thanks to her, young seedlings thrive… and visitors leave with big smiles — and often a pot or two in hand.

For over twenty years, she’s poured her heart into this place, adding her own touch of magic. A true lover of plants and animals, she knows every corner of the garden and nursery. You could say she grew up here…and the garden did too, in its own way, thanks to her.

Horticultural Authority

Our Swiss Army knife for the past 25 years, Jimmy is part of the landscape — quite literally. He’s our all-around handyman: construction, renovation, repairs, improvised vet, landscaping advisor… he does it all, and always with a smile.

He’s a plant expert (the best we know!), and can name thousands by heart — Latin names, height, bloom periods, pests, birds that visit…nothing gets past him.

Every plant has its story, and so does every customer — Jimmy knows them all by name.

Landscape Maestro

With over 30 years on the team, Daniel is our landscaping virtuoso. Always with a smile on his face, he skilfully juggles paving stones, rocks, and plants like a conductor with his baton.

Loyal and passionate, he handles the excavator like an extension of his own body, turning outdoor spaces into true works of art. Together with Yvan, they form an unbeatable duo!
Clients love him, and so do we — Daniel is the guy we can always count on.
